Fallbrook is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northern San Diego County, California, set in rolling hills immediately east of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Its population was about 32,300 in the 2020 census, making it one of the largest unincorporated communities in the county. Established in 1869, Fallbrook has grown from a rural settlement into a substantial agricultural and residential community while retaining a distinctly rural character.
