Westminster is a city in northwestern Orange County, California, situated inland from Huntington Beach and bordered by Garden Grove, Seal Beach, and the county seat of Santa Ana. The city was founded in 1870 as a Presbyterian temperance colony and developed for decades as a farming community, with sugar beets and other crops supporting its early economy.
